When Leadership Shows Up: Celebrating the Vibe & Thrive Youth Service Leadership Team

On Saturday, February 28th, something truly special happened.
The Healing the Heart to Make Room for Abundance Conference was designed to be an intimate and intentional gathering for women navigating love, leadership, healing, and calling. The day was filled with reflection, meaningful dialogue, and powerful moments of encouragement.
But behind the scenes, and often right at the front of the room; another powerful story was unfolding.
A group of young leaders from the Vibe & Thrive Tribe, a youth leadership initiative of Precious Holistic Touch Foundation Inc., stepped into roles of responsibility, professionalism, and service in ways that made the entire experience possible.
And they did it with excellence.
Stepping Beyond Fear Into Leadership
Many of these young adults shared beforehand that they struggled with things many people quietly carry:
• anxiety when speaking with strangers
• shyness in professional environments
• uncertainty about stepping into leadership spaces
Yet when the doors opened, they showed up ready.
With smiles on their faces and a spirit of service, they greeted attendees, welcomed guests, assisted speakers, and ensured the event flowed smoothly from start to finish.
They were not distracted.
They were not disengaged.
They were present, professional, and prepared to serve.
Watching them step into these moments with confidence and grace was one of the most rewarding parts of the day.
Real Leadership in Action
The Vibe & Thrive Youth Service Leadership Team completed a structured training experience prior to the event and then applied those skills in a real-world setting.
Throughout the conference they supported the event by:
• Welcoming and registering attendees
• Distributing event materials and folders
• Assisting speakers and event leadership
• Supporting vendor tables and book sales
• Managing hospitality and refreshments
• Monitoring attendee needs throughout the day
• Moderating Zoom for virtual participants
• Supporting technical coordination such as screen sharing and recording
They rotated roles, adapted when the schedule shifted, and demonstrated impressive multitasking and teamwork.
This was not simply volunteering.
This was leadership development in action.
Learning While Leading
Even while serving in their roles, these young leaders remained attentive and engaged in the conference itself.
They listened carefully to each speaker, reflected on the messages shared, and later expressed powerful takeaways about leadership, healing, and purpose.
At one special moment during the event, the youth were invited to come forward and introduce themselves to the audience. Each shared their name, where they were from, their college major, and their future goals.
Watching them stand confidently at the podium was a powerful reminder that when we create space for young leaders to grow, they rise to the moment.
Why This Work Matters
Too often, young people are told to wait their turn.
But leadership is not something that suddenly appears later in life.
Leadership is cultivated through experience, mentorship, and opportunity.
The Vibe & Thrive Youth Service Leadership Program exists to provide those opportunities; helping young adults develop confidence, communication skills, and real-world leadership experience through service and community engagement.
And the results we witnessed last Saturday are proof that this investment matters.
